  Everybody will talk about that last minute goal, but I think that Nederland's first goal did not get enough credit. I always loved that goal. I love how they create a position for Kluivert one on one with the goalkeeper by just two smart passes out of nowhere. Ronald de Boer's dribbling and pass to Bergkamp, then Bergkamp's incredible vision in the box and head pass, and Kluivert's silky touch round the goalkeeper. Everything is perfect. 👌

  The second Dutch goal is terrific, and it's always among the greatest plays compilations of Dennis Bergkamp. But the header pass in the first goal is one of the best assists ever. Bergkamp the legend.

  This is the football I grew up with....i'm not Dutch and i couldn't name a single player playing for the Netherlands right now, but I could name 9 out of the 11 Dutch players at the beginning of the video, just by face. Oh the memories of the 1998 World Cup... The 3 goals of Batistuta. The opening game seeing Brazil beat Scotland. The dribbling of Mexican Hernandez. The EA Sports '98 world cup playstation game. Seeing R9 at his peak. The goal of Emanuel Petit in the final. The sadness I felt as a 9 yr old when France beat Brazil, the team I supported, by 3-0. The 2 goals Marc Wilmots scored for Belgium and put him on top of the topscorer list for a while. I could go on and on.....But ask me anything of the previous world cup and I can barely remember anything. Even have to think deep to remember which year it was. How beautiful it is to grow up as a kid, be passionate about something and create core memories. Thank you for this trip down memory lane.
