Many congratulations.. BMC diesel’s upgraded engine is known as HM plus or stride engine. Engine block is the same 1489 CC. But the major difference is the fuel pump which is a mechanical pump in BMC and electronic pump in Stride. In later stage stride engine was offered with 5 speed gearbox.
