I find the ambiguous ending unsatisfying, but the story overall was good.

What kind of prosecutor or Captain America would be dumb enough to dump the possible murder weapon in a random garbage can?

Grieving mother or not if you spit in my face you getting your ssa whooped, You can’t always blame parents for their children’s actions especially when they’ve done the best they can in raising them but if you know your child is troubled please get them the help they need because they can’t do it alone

I believe Derek did it only because he had Ben missing phone with the photos of the girl in it

My theory is Jacob saw what the guy Patz did to Ben from start to finish but just didn’t say anything. Maybe because he felt Ben deserved it or he enjoyed what he saw. It would explain the fingerprint on ben’s jacket. It’s no denying Jacob has violent tendencies, the story he wrote, the videos he watched on his laptop, the picture he posted during the trial, and the situation at bowling alley when he was younger. He said the picture he post was joke but it’s a lot of truth in a joke, plus how could he have so many details to be able to write at story. I believe what he saw Patz do he wanted to do himself but didn’t have the nerve. Patz was definitely involved why did he have those pictures and why was he so happy when he knew the police had Jacob. I would go as far to say Patz knew Jacob was watching and they shared a glance with each other while in the woods. Patz didn’t come after Jacob cause he knew they were same. I believe Jacob is violent but not violent enough to kill, he just has a sick side to him that needs therapy

Jacob is, for sure, a sociopath.
As for his guilt, more information is needed.

21:30 you'd think it'd be pretty obvious if you're in this situation to not talk to random strangers who approach you or your family...

But Patz had photos of the kid. He was shown to be quite suspicious.

so what evidence did they have? gossip on facebook, grampa's genetics, and a fingerprint? pretty weak case

And a "confession letter" can't be suspected by the police as being written at an armed murderer's request?!
