Every single house is a reminder how much an architect brings to the table...

The pleasures of an internal courtyard and the light and life they can bring into a home are really well showcased here. Lots of inspiration.

The use of space, light, and materials is unique. The interplay of mood and sensation—it is a whole life in itself. Fantastic!

The last owner takes more credit for the home than the architect.

Wow….what an enjoyable 34 mins! So much to talk about but I’ll keep my comment brief because life is short. Albert Mo’s project, ‘Connected House’ in Studley Park is simply brilliant (hat tip to original architect Peter McIntyre🎩). The drawbridge…so perfectly exemplifies the ‘connected’ part. Little OG in Albert Park is a remarkable approach to a house with several acknowledged limitations. (southfacing). Enjoyed the discussion between architect and client with the Brick and Gable House by Breathe. Inspired brickwork and admirable approach to energy. The Border Collie gets a big tick. I did find the SoCal(?) accent of the architect from Breathe a little hard to decipher occasionally - viewed that section twice which is not hard to do.

Another superbly presented video from Simple Dwelling.

when you’re watching from Europe and are briefly puzzled why south-facing would be undesirable…
