Let’s get one thing straight: we did NOT sign up for this level of terror. Camcorder batteries dying, things screaming in the dark, us hiding in lockers like cowards? This game had our souls LEAVING the room. What did you guys think of Outlast ? Let’s cry together in the comments! Leave a Like, comment, and subscribe if you love horror games that never let you feel safe! https://www.youtube.com/@TheMediaKnights2.0sub_confirmation=1

I remember very well, 2013 this game was on everyone's lips, YouTube full of let's play and live streams. Outlast was a horror sensation before FNaF.

I LOVE that you're understanding the themes of this game and reading the notes. To people who aren't paying attention, this is just a jumpscare gorefest. But if you do pay attention, you see how much this game makes you feel sympathy for the patients and what they're going through (well, most of them anyway).

Ah yes, Outlast. A modern classic. Back in the day everyone was playing it. Have played through it a few times myself. The gameplay isn't anything crazy but the atmosphere is still really good. Feels like a playable found footage horror movie. While the visuals especially the night vision do a lot for the creepy atmosphere, I think the music by the great Samuel Laflamme really is the star in this and sells the oppressive atmosphere.
