Let Me Tell You Something

Roger Federer's Wimbledon record is gone. Novak Djokovic took it at 39 years old, and that was somehow not even the craziest thing that happened. This is the full Wimbledon 2026 third round and fourth round recap, and the tournament has officially lost its mind. Naomi Osaka destroyed world number one Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets, her first win over her in eight years, and Sabalenka smacked a ball out of the stadium on her way to the exit. Alexandra Eala knocked out defending champion Iga Swiatek on Centre Court, the biggest upset of the tournament, before Jasmine Paolini ended the fairytale with Federer himself watching from the Royal Box. The men's draw delivered chaos of its own. Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a five set thriller that ended in a shouting match at the net and a disgrace of a rule rant about medical timeouts. Roman Safiullin, the qualifier who buried Andrey Rublev, destroyed Joao Fonseca then took a set off Djokovic in the record breaking match. Jannik Sinner cruised past Jenson Brooksby and Shintaro Mochizuki without facing a single seed. Jan-Lennard Struff benefited from a Daniil Medvedev collapse and a Hubert Hurkacz retirement to reach his first Slam quarterfinal at 36. Grigor Dimitrov won a five setter over Matteo Berrettini, then British wildcard Arthur Fery broke hearts and beat him in another five set epic to become the first wild card in a Wimbledon quarterfinal since Kyrgios. Plus Flavio Cobolli battered Alex de Minaur and hit the Ronaldo Siuuu celebration, Taylor Fritz dismantled Alexander Bublik with 23 aces, and Alexander Zverev looks like he will join the party. Quarterfinals are ahead and they are stacked. We have Djokovic vs Auger-Aliassime, Sinner vs Struff, Fritz vs the Zverev winner, Cobolli vs Fery, plus Osaka vs Muchova, Pegula vs Gauff and Paolini vs Kostyuk.
