Autoimmune diseases often start with symptoms we don’t pay attention to—like brain fog, joint pain, or skin rashes. The earlier you recognize the signs, the better your chances of managing them effectively.

What symptom in this video stood out to you the most? I pray every person suffering auto-immune conditions, is cared for, has a good rheumatologist, and gets well to a full recovery.

Doctors arent missing the signs. They make more money treating each symptom individually. Thanks big pharma.

A big problem is that women are very often send away and told it’s all in their head.

I wish I could find a rheumatologist half as good as this guy.

I wish you were my GP. I'm sick of fighting the system and I'm going to ask for an advocate to take over as I am constantly given the brush off, rudely. I don't have any stamina to take this further. Fingers crossed. UK

At 85, I live independently, swim twice a week, shop and cook for myself, and still enjoy quiet afternoons with books and puzzles. Life feels peaceful, and for that, I’m so grateful.

The doctors don't listen to us anyways.

took me 10-15years to get doctors to take me seriously. They always blamed my mental illnesses for my "symptoms". They only did an MRI scan because I was screaming in pain, and they even rolled their eyes at me. They looked so sheepish after it came back with grade 4 arthritis in my joints. Infuriating.

We need more doctors like you here in sandiego. I’m tired of feeling discouraged and gaslighted.

I kept going to my doctor saying something wasn't right... my heart was pounding hard, my head constantly hurt, I was losing weight, would go days and days with no sleep, and was an uncharacteristic nervous wreck. I was told over and over it was an anxiety disorder which was frustrating because I had an anxiety disorder as a child, got therapy, and am VERY high functioning because of it. I'm very aware of my mind-body connection and can detect where my anxiety and stress is coming from and know how to deal with it. I knew it wasn't that.

I was dismissed literally days before landing in the emergency room after feeling like I got the air knocked out of me and punched in the chest. When I was triaged, my resting heart rate was 200 bpm, my blood pressure was sky high, and I had a raging fever. I begged to be taken seriously for almost a decade, and it ended up being a thyroid storm caused by untreated Graves' disease.

I was SO upset. I was dismissed only days before and now I was at risk of dying. Not to mention, Graves' disease isn't even that rare or hard to find on labs!!! I lost so much trust for my doctors. Please don't overlook someone just because they have an old history of an anxiety disorder. Some people with anxiety disorder actually have a HIGHER threshhold of asking for help because we already assume things are just anxiety. I knew it wasn't and they didn't even bother doing a simple TSH test...
