There is no other railroad footage that can compare to this cab ride! Today you can reserve a cab ride with the Royal Gorge Route and do the Canon City to Parkdale segment. My wife did this for me as a Christmas gift a few years ago and it was spectacular!!!

The Royal Gorge? I love this national scenic area! It's a great place to go for a summertime day trip.

Seeing the Royal Gorge from the cab of the locomotive is awesome. The Royal Gorge is the best scenic route in Colorado. It's awesome that this route is still operated by the Royal Gorge Scenic Railroad. Great job on this video. ❤🎉

The meet at Swallows, one of the units in eastbound's consist was the DRGW 5368. After the UP takeover, it was renumbered to UP 8622. I got to run it when it was assigned to the Lathrop(CA) Intermodal Facility. The Gorge, with its great scenery is definitely on a "to do" list.

I just rode the Royal Gorge train last weekend. There are now yurts and Air Stream trailers that you can rent across the river at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5TIDLybjIA&t=1303">21:43</a>. It was a breath taking and fun ride.
