  We stayed in Franschoek back in April 2025 and had a day on the Orange tram. We opted to visit three wineries which was plenty on a hot late summer’s day. The wines were good and we had an excellent lunch. We chose wineries that offered our three grandchildren things to do. Early bed time that evening!

  I just want to add that Kruger is not the only place to do amazing Safari. You can go to the Pilansberg, Bela Bela, Dinokeng, Welgevonden, Hluhluwe, St Lucia and more for amazing bush experiences. Pilansberg, Bela Bela and Dinokeng are all a really reasonable distance to travel from Johannesburg airport. Kruger park is of course huge, but the other experiences are no less authentic.

  February 17, 2026<br>Per CDC....there is an ongoing and serious outbreak of rabies among Cape fur seals in the Western Cape, including the Hout Bay area and surrounding beaches like Kommetjie.
