  Only after his death (1958), particularly during the 1970s, his theory was confirmed and received well-deserved recognition in the scientific community. During his lifetime, his groundbreaking scientific contributions went largely unrecognized by his contemporaries.

  You really need to include solar cycles as well.  They have a much shorter periodicity,  and have much greater impact in the near future.

  It&apos;s always amazed me how stability causes the Earth to freeze, and die a slow cold death.<br><br>While instability rescues the day, and produces abundance of life.

  Humanity as a species is young, our civilization younger yet. It would behoove us to not be shortsighted, the Earth is ancient and has seen millions of generations of creatures live and fade to dust.

  My one critique is, Co2 levels are maintained by plant propagation on land and the oceans absorbing the Co2 resulting in oceanic plants producing more oxygen in its place. Over the course of the billions of years of life on this planet, the planet itself is a living organism, so to speak, always adjusting itself to compensate for imbalances. This is why life has continued even through at least 6 Global Extinction Events. Life itself has become part of the Earth&apos;s homeostasis.
