  As a 36 year old daughter of a psychopathic narcissistic mother. Stop analysing them. Just get far away. No matter how much they try and guilt and manipulate and instill fear do not let them back in your life. Just try and move on and stop thinking about all the things they did. They were shit. You didnt deserve it. Just try and get as much happiness out of your own life and erase them from your existence.

  Every narcissist I've ever encountered all seek manipulation and control, like a drug addict needs their fix.  They're particularly fond of triggering emotional reactions from people, which seems to be the ultimate control over a person.  They're also a wrecking ball, anything you enjoy or are passionate about, it will be their mission to prevent you from it.  You learn to never share your passions or express excitement about something, but treat everything indifferently.

  What I really appreciate about Dr. Salerno is his humility. He doesn't posture or self aggrandize like other psychologists on social media. He admits what he doesn't know, is able to talk about complex behavioral phenomena in a very nuanced way and isn't threatened by disagreement. I don't think anyone can be totally confident about all aspects of human behavior, and often what we think we know changes with time and more research.

  Narcissists are like black holes sucking all the atmosphere, energy, and matter around them into themselves to feed themselves. That's why you feel completely drained when around them. They never feel sympathy for what they're doing and are only angered when you object or confront.

  A psychopath will rape or kill their own child and feel totally okay with it.  In fact they will feel they “had to” for some reason, and they will say they have MORALITY and are a Good Person.  They don’t see any inconsistency in how they feel about themselves despite their behavior, they FEEL like a good person, therefore they must have good reasons for what they do, therefore it IS good even if it’s illegal or “doesn’t LOOK good”.  Their mind justifies everything they do in a continuous closed feedback loop, nothing gets in to interrupt.  If you TRY to interfere with that loop, your life is in danger, their child’s life is in danger, just don’t.  I barely survived trying to reach the person’s heart before I understood. They aren’t like us inside, AT ALL.

  They get a cheap quick hit of dopamine for making us submit. And they take up all the dopamine, never allowing us to have any by feeling comfortable, like an actual person , or happy with getting something done or being present.<br><br>They take it all and they constantly need it and nothing&apos;s ever enough.
