  It's true about Russians giving women gifts. My cousin also dated a Russian man and received flowers or boxes of chocolates from him whenever they met. Later, when they moved in together, she received flowers from him less often 😂 but he never forgot about it ☺️

  Russian is interesting to me because I do feel like the Russian English accent can sound a bit aggressive but the Russian language itself has a wonderfully smooth flow to it when you hear it spoken.

  Interesting video. I am an American born and raised person who moved to Russia over 20 years ago. I forget some of the American customs and stereotypes they have about Russia. Probably the one I come across the most is Americans thinking it's still the Soviet Union here.

  It&apos;s not only how media depicts the Russian language. I grew up with my two best friends one from Bulgaria and one from Russia and with both I had the same interactions. They talked to their parents and to me it sounded like they were yelling at each other. <br>When I asked it was something like &quot;oh my mom just wanted to know when we&apos;ll be back so she can prepare dinner.&quot; <br><br>This were all live interactions - no media involved.

  Im estonian and i grew up alongside russians in the 90s and i think the language doesnt sound aggressive but the people speaking it can. Russians are very temperamental and even when they are speaking excitedly they sound like they are arguing.

  Haha, this hits close to home. Not long ago, my Russian colleagues and I were on a Zoom meeting with foreign partners. Later, someone shared a screenshot of the call. It was hilarious and terrifying at the same time: all the foreigners were beaming with bright smiles, while we Russians sat there with deadpan, stone-cold faces. To be fair, I was just intensely focusing on some calculations at that moment. But looking at that picture, I literally went, &apos;Oh my god, we really do look exactly like the stereotypes
