  According to Doug Wilson, a Jewish unbeliever is resposible for the death of Jesus &quot;in the same way that any sinner is responsible for it.&quot; However, I thought Wilson was a Calvinist who believed in limited atonement? If so, then how could non-elect sinners in any sense be &quot;responsible&quot; for the death of Jesus, when Jesus did <b>not</b> die as a ransom for their sins? According to Scripture, Jesus died only for the elect -- He &quot;was delivered up for <b>our</b> trespasses and raised for <b>our</b> justification&quot; (Romans 4:25). Jesus was raised for the &quot;justification&quot; of the <b>same</b> group of elect sinners that He died for of the Cross, no one else.

  In the OT, God would often punish national Israel through other nations, and then punish those nations for what they had done. In the NT, God punished spiritual Israel through the cross, and then punished national Israel for what they had done.
