  It's funny that Seth Rogan is a producer of both the Boys and Invincible and both became insanely successful by one being nothing like their comic source, and the other being so much like its source material it's often word for word with it

  Keep in mind, Hughie goes off at Annie in the comics not only because Butcher shows the video to Hughie without any context, but also because one of the people there is A-TRAIN, the guy who KILLED HIS GIRLFRIEND. So in his mind, all he sees is his now-girlfriend giving sexual favours to the man that killed his ex-girlfriend. That WOULD drive someone over the edge, but it shows that he's still naive because he doesn't know how to communicate or ask, he just believes what he hears.

  That thumbnail is underrated. Comics butcher and tv homelander would be the most diabolical matchup as they are the most unhinged extreme versions of the characters.

  They honestly didn't even need to have becky be alive in season 2 if they were gonna kill her off and have the son be literally nothing important for the rest of the show

  “The Female” is such a good and fitting name. It both describes how strange the character is, their dynamic in the main cast, AND what she’s a parody of in just her name. <br><br>I kinda wish they at least ran with it for a little bit in the show.

  The director legitimately creeps me out with the way he thinks disgusting shock content is somehow a net gain for the world&apos;s psyche, like somehow it&apos;s healing. And that&apos;s not me saying that, he is. When an actor came to him saying &quot;I refuse to say this line it&apos;s disgusting&quot; his response was more-or-less &quot;That&apos;s how I know the writers are doing their job&quot;<br><br>(If you&apos;re wondering, the actor was Jensen and you can thank him for talking the director out of making Soldier Boy a pdf)

  The funniest thing about the Boys show will be the Queen Maeve thing. Making her character a critique on gay/bi &nbsp;pandering, then their excuse for her surviving the soldier boy nuke, out of universe, being &quot; we thought killing off our gay/bi &nbsp;character was problematic. &quot;

  Comics Hughie is definitely superior to show Hughie imo. The characterization and humanity he shows throughout the issues just makes him feel like such a likable protagonist which is a huge contrast from Butcher’s brutality.

  I find Homelander&apos;s characterization in the show so different from the comics the comparison is completely apples and oranges. Comic Homelander, like you said, is a man with special powers trying to be special. Show Homelander is a product made person and how mentally unstable that life is.

  seeing the pattern of Hughie and Annie makes me feel like the writers didn’t believed the show would have more seasons, so they made sure to put all of their character arc in the one season they got, and then suddenly you have 4 more seasons worth of character development you need to give them, so now you’re fucked
