  This is the exact shift more creators need to hear. I came up on the label side of the music business, and the artists who lasted were the ones who owned the masters and the audience instead of renting them out for a check. Same rule applies to creators now. A flat sponsorship is just the new record advance. I just built a whole episode around this on my channel, Street Smart Business. Sharp framework, Codie.

  Hi, amazing content. I’ve spent the last year and a half focusing intensively on YouTube! It’s working! I have a tiny niche, I’m a goldleaf artist but I just reached 10k subs, I’m finding my people (btw I’m 57!! I live surprising people that I’m a YouTuber)

  My personal hate is when I click on something that is offering me something of value (such as a PDF of actually handy resources or information), only to get hammered with emails, text messages and never actually get the product I was chasing in the first place. &nbsp;I get it, I&apos;m the product if the product or resource is free, and I expect a couple of emails, but this sort of approach kills any engagement I have with which ever company is advertising. &nbsp;I just want to read what the company is promoting....
