If I do recall Marisa was not the first fighter or Pankration feature in Street Fighter, for I believe that was in SF3 where the brothers Urien & Gill also do this martial art as well. It even shows by them don't wearing any much clothing on them and 1 of them design look of ancient Greece.

Marisa mentions having a Greek Grandparent too. So the martial art being from her ancestors is likely her referring to her partial Greek Ethnicity

Are there more series like these for SF characters? <br>I really love the different styles of combat and how they complement the characters, interesting to look at and research on. Hope to see more of these 👍🏾😁
