  Great show! The Suella Braverman interview reminded me of the fundamental reason for patriotism, which is gratitude. I was born and raised in Dublin, but have lived half my life in the UK, and am grateful for the opportunities that this country has afforded me.

  My comment on last week&apos;s podcast was &quot;When the Bank of England announced it was stopping Quantitative Tightening (selling the bond they bought with money they &nbsp;electronically credited themselves with to buy Bonds when they were doing Quantitative Easing (aka money printing without actually physically printing more notes)) Bond Yields fell back quite sharply, but only for a few days. &nbsp;Yields are back on the rise. &nbsp;I expect new highs next week and the 30 year yield to go through 6% and the 10 year through 5.5% before the autumn budget, but that could be nothing compared to what happens to them after the budget, if the chancellor repeats the record of his namesake 50 years ago.&quot;<br><br>Lo and behold today the 30 year rate has gone through 6% and 10 year has gone through 5.5%. &nbsp;The acceleration of the trend clearly coincides with the Labour conference speeches which gave no indication that they even recognise the problem let alone have any credible plans to address it. &nbsp;Indeed it was all about how they could tax, spend and borrow more.

  My great grandparents were likely in service, which is a nicer way of saying slave. Thousands of people had no choice but to get jobs working &nbsp;for people who were unkind, paid poorly &amp; demanded long, long hours. It&apos;s not unique to migrants!

  If the Arab money pulls out of Manchester it will reveal the city and Burnham for the sham it is built on recent foreign investment rather than the abilities of the spend and tax Mayor.
