After seeing how we built and hid this motor, do you think 'mechanical doping' has actually happened in the World Tour, or is it just a cycling myth? Let us know your theories in the comments! 👇

I mean if a uni grad student can do it on a budget, just imagine a corporate backed team with unlimited cash. It makes you think.

"it is a big leap to suggest the same could have happened at the Tour de France" a historically clean event with stringent and impossible to beat testing and upstanding honest teams and riders

Huge thanks to GCN for teaming up with us on this one, we had a great time working on it!

Shoutout to the dream team:
Matthew Gallon
Chris Archibald
Chris Nairns
Dan Blackmore
Joe Robbins
Zach Dunne
George Molloy
Kincső Morvai

And big thanks to Ed Elias and Andrew Avent at the University of Bath for all their support in the early stages, and for generally being the best lecturers you could ask for.

Also, slight life update: Matt and I are now available. If you liked what you saw and fancy hiring us, we’d be very happy to chat. I’m open to roles anywhere in Europe, and Matt is currently based in Australia.

If you want to get in touch please have a look at the description and visit the website. And yes - a proper “making of” video is in the works.

"On a budget, with limited time and resources." Very relatable to every engineer.

Superb vid, guys. That was what two (very talented) amateurs could do. Imagine the possibility for well-funded manufacturer/team with a strong motivation but no ethics…

Does this explain why Ollie is so much faster now he has 'balanced' his wheels...?

Do not underestimate the power of the placebo effect, I'd love to see this double blind tested 😂

I think Alex' last point is quite important. You don't need those 50-100W motors helping you to attack because this would be quite obvious. You just need a little support of 10-20W so you can conserve energy in the peloton and be the freshest when it comes to it.
