  I proposed on April Fools Day because, well.... I thought it was funny.  My girlfriend knew me well enough that she was not at all surprised.    It got even better because the restaurant where I proposed went out of business and became a strip club a few years later.  This has allowed me to honestly say: "That strip club over there is where I proposed to my Wife."

  Alexandrites have been gaining more popularity in general i think. but i hear that natural alexandrites with high color changing quality is super expensive. Lab alexandrite is much more affordable, but you have to be careful with if its a real lab alexandrite or a synthetic gem thats colored to imitate a lab alexandrite.
