  The sixth-generation Toyota 4Runner is here with a new Trailhunter trim that's meant to compete against the apex predators off-road: the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco. The Trailhunter's increased capability makes it a more viable option than ever before, but its snorkel (to keep dirt out of the intake) also projects plenty of wooshy turbo noises straight into the cabin.   Strange off-road test, where you don’t use the off-road capabilities. <br>Did you also remember to inflate the tires to 50psi like the Rivian R1S Emma tested on the same hill?

  Please find qualified offroaders for these. Ive tried all 3, have owned a 3rd gen 4runner and wrangler JK. Yet, it was clear to me that the most complete package and best value was the Ford Bronco Badlands. Got it early 2025, Im at 20k, lots of offroad and its been a joy

  I&apos;m not sure this felt unbiased. On the first hill climb, the 4Runner seemed to have the least slip of all 3. The driver used more throttle, and both Jeep and Bronco spun tires, got sideways, and did some digging. I didn&apos;t see any of that with the 4Runner.

  The Wrangler can also lock its rear locker in 4hi when off-road + is engaged and stability control disabled. It would have been a more apples to apples comparison if you would have used a Wrangler with the available XR package. Also, your departure and break over angles were listed incorrectly for the Wrangler.

  The test was so simple and concluded. Didnt really tell much about these three true capability as off roaders.

  I have a new Bronco. Perfect balance on and off-road. Love it! 4Runner can&apos;t take the roof and the doors off and yes, I do take them both off. It&apos;s a great feeling! My family loves it.

  You can lock the rear axle in four High on the Wrangler, you just have to put it in off-road plus mode, then hold the traction control button down for 5 to 8 seconds until it disables stability control, and then you can activate the rear locker only. &nbsp;Please learn the vehicles before you take them out and put them in these conditions to do a review, the fact that you don’t know how to operate them in these conditions makes me question your ability to effectively operate and review in other conditions as well.
