  I will never forgive the cash for clunkers initiative.<br>Edit: fun fact- Land Cruisers could last about 12min before the engine would seize, when most cars would average 30sec-3min..

  I own this type of Prado RZ J90, it has a 3RZ-FE petrol engine, engine capacity 2.7L, produced in 2002. I have had it since that year and it has not had any problems until today. It is very suitable for the mountains of Yemen. RZ RS and RX are 3-door series, made to travel more than a million kilometers.

  I have owned my 95 for over 15 years. well over 200K miles....Runs like new good luck from the UK.(3ltr turbo diesel.)

  Great video. I imported a “97 Prado 3-door like yours last year and I love it. &nbsp;Of all the various JDM vehicles I’ve personally imported, this is my favorite and part of that is because of the great parts of interchangeability with vehicles sold in the US. &nbsp;(i’m tired of chasing parts from overseas). This Prado uses the same frame as the 3rd generation 4Runner. &nbsp;In fact, the front suspension is identical to the 4Runner. So super easy to get suspension parts anywhere. &nbsp;That also means it suffers from the same lower ball joint weakness of that generation 4Runner. &nbsp;The lower ball joints should be replaced as a safety measure with only OEM Toyota ones as a preventative measure. The Prado’s rear suspension is basically a Land Cruiser 80 series. &nbsp;So again, most rear suspension parts are available in the US. &nbsp;<br><br>When I selected the Prado, I wanted to import I wanted to make sure the Prado I picked had an engine that could easily be serviced in the US. So I went with the gasoline 3RZ 2.7 4-cylinder engine because that was used in US market 4Runners and Tacomas. &nbsp;This gas engine actually produces more horsepower than the turbo diesel (but less torque). It’s not as powerful as the gas V6, but does get better gas mileage.
