I remember a friend of mine buying this, gloating about the 50 new games he bought with his milk round money. Watching his face as he went through the cassette was a study in the 5 stages of grief. So bad, I never even wasted a "Kaytape" C90 on copying it.

Ha ha, great review.

I'm here from Alex's channel. I've submitted some games already for his USB 50 recreation of the Cassette 50 project. It's going to be fun to see what games will be on it when it's released.

I do remember the adverts but thankfully never brought one. It's the equivalent of music tapes that were not played or sung by the original artists. The make Chevron comes to mind.

I was about 8 years old when I had this and even then I knew it was complete bobbins. I remember mostly having fun with it, but I never ran home from school to load up Cassette 50, not when I had Skool Daze, Nodes of Yesod, Manic Miner and so on. I got more use out of the watch, which I still have somewhere.

A bit before my time but an interesting watch. I do enjoy the variety in your videos and your humorous comments. Were there any more multi game tapes for older cassette based consoles?

Hi Steve, thank you for showing us all the games, now that I've seen them all I'm glad I didn't pool any birthday or Christmas money to buy this one! 😄 Thanks for reading my comment out too! 👍🏻😉

Star Trek is a port of an ancient game that (along with the likes of Dungeon, Hunt the Wumpus, and NetHack) started life on time-sharing systems in the world of academia. No idea what this particular implementation is like, but in general it's a pretty good game once you get to grips with it.
