What’s the ONE American thing in this video that Europeans seem to underestimate the most?

There's a reason why most Americans don't travel outside the USA even when on vacation.
There are a million places to go and a billion things to do right here.
My next destination will be Pigeon Forge, TN. I've never been. Looks like a blast.

We are not only blessed in the USA, we are spoiled and forget to be thankful.

The guy sitting on the porch, listening to the rain and the birds, sipping his cup of coffee.......I am there with him. I often wonder why some people don't really love the small things in life, like those he mentioned. I appreciated his words and sentiments more than anyone else's because those things mean so much to me too. The small things are the best.

Because of the FIFA visitors, the comments about expectations versus reality, seem to focus on European points of view, but I was watching a couple YouTuber ladies that had fled North Korea months prior to FIFA, and their experiences seem to confirm what the FIFA visitors report, except they go into it in more detail. Their backstory gets revealed a little more and contrasted with their ground-truth with every YouTube video they release. It took many years to get their surviving family out of North Korea, and it required a lot of courage and placing freedom above personal risk. It started with Hanaya and her visit to the USA with a South Korean tour group. She literally had to talk her sister Ina into coming with her on her next visit to the USA, and Ina was SO apprehensive, and their mother was probably MORE apprehensive. Basically, their perceptions of the USA were the same as what the FIFA folks were saying before they came to the USA. A third sister, Sena, has been following her older sisters Hanaya and Ina, and has her own YouTube vlog that reacts to her sisters' postings, and hopes that she and her husband also can travel around the USA soon.

We’re nice everywhere. 🇺🇸 Not just the South, it is who we are.

No most other countries do not have "Freedom" they have a loose hand but they are EXTREMELY regulated in everyday life and they don't realise it.

My Ma was the nicest, most honest person I did not have enough time with. She was from a town named Century, a tiny town, that used to be near, but is now encomcoased by Pensacola. The granddaughter she never lived long enough to meet is tonight on her way with the great-granddaughter, and the great great granddaughter to her birthplace, where she was born 101 years ago today. Happy Birthday Ma.

I spent 5.5 years active duty in the US military. A Navy medic, I remember the ones that fell. The ones that I put in body bags. Like a freind I had known since the 5th grade.

The South is not the only friendly part of the US. I think southerners just don't travel much and don't realize that the rest of the country is also welcoming and obliging. When my sister visited New York City she took a look at a menu outside a restaurant early in the morning, and the owner opened the place an hour early just to serve her. Where I live in northern Michigan people are very (perhaps overly) encouraging and unfriendly words are almost unheard of. The only difference is that northerners don't make acquaintances feel like they have to stop and invent some chat every time we see them. We can just smile and wave and go about our day if there's nothing to say.
