  Thrift stores now sell used H&M clothes for more than it costs new at H&M

  Concert tickets. I can’t imagine paying hundreds of dollars for a big venue where you’re mostly watching the person on the screen anyway. I only consider smaller venues, and then the price has to match how much I really want to see that artist.

  When I was in high school, my parents splurged and got these amazing Ralph Lauren bath towels for us. There was a huge difference in quality and they&apos;re still going strong at their house over a decade later. When I graduated college I decided to splurge and buy my own set - same brand, same product line. They started fraying and splitting after only 2 years. <br><br>So yeah I can also confirm that fast luxury is a real thing

  Goodwill doesn&apos;t pay their employees enough to begin to justify how much they charge for absolute crap that they got for free.

  Buying books second hand became really expensive. I stopped buying books completely and now use the wonderful FREE library :)

  You know what HAS been worth my time and money? Gardening! I also do so on budget and ask local businesses for leftover materials such as heat treated palettes, and cardboard. Its so peaceful and rewarding. I like to sit in my garden and read a nice book that i found at the locally owned thrift store. It really is great seeing some of society moving away from the superficiality and consumer culture
