  As a young Muslim I used to look down on Hanafi&apos;s because they perform Taqleed. But my attitude matured after talking to a very knowledgeable Hanafi Imam. What I realised is that he has much more evidence for what he is on than I do. So even if I am right, I still know nothing. His patience with me broke my ignorance, so may Allah forgive him any mistakes and bless him and his family. Taqleed is known as &quot;blind following&quot; to Salafis but just &quot;following&quot; to others. &nbsp;But Salafis also tend to follow Imam Ahmad whether they realize it or not although hopefully not &quot;blindly&quot;. But anyway, no &nbsp;&quot;knowledgeable&quot; Salafi disrespects any of the 4 great Imams. Listen to the Salafi shuyookh speak about them and you realise that in fact the opposite is true. <br><br>Reading these comments it looks just as ignorant as the younger me but from the opposite side of the argument. You say &quot;follow the Quran and Sunnah&quot;. No one disagrees with that. But &quot;how&quot;? &nbsp;Do you read English translations of Quran and Hadith? This is no different from a Salafi who blindly follows ahadeeth from &nbsp;English translation of Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. There&apos;s an argument that can be made, but it&apos;s still essentially &quot;blind following&quot;. <br>Some might say &quot;don&apos;t follow the modern people&quot; or the &quot;modern scholars&quot;. OK. So you follow one of the 4 great Imams? OK. But how do you do that? Do you read the English translation of Maalik&apos;s Muwatta? Or some random English translations of sayings from Abu Hanifa&apos;s students? <br><br>All this without the proper understanding of Quran, Fiqh and the Arabic language? This is your method? <br><br>I listen to the &quot;modern&quot; scholars who can back up what they write and say with Quran, fiqh, &quot;Authentic&quot; Ahadeeth and sayings from the pious generations. For those who do not have the knowledge to do this then taqleed makes sense. But how many of us spend years gaining diplomas and degrees, framing them and putting them on our walls. But don&apos;t put even half that time effort into learning the language of the Quran and the basics of Fiqh and Ahadeeth? Shame on us all.

  I don&apos;t understand what&apos;s wrong with our sisters why can&apos;t they wear hijab look at non muslim they wear whenever Thier religion allows they never argue always Muslims argue in every matter May Allah guide both our sisters and brothers in islam

  The closest to the time of the prophet was abu hanifa and the farthest from the time of the prophet was shafi from the 4 schools of thought.

  So the imams of the salaf whom the salaf themselves follwed and asked for rulings according to quran and sunnah did not had the understanding of the salaf.<br>This is exactly the issue we have we this so called &quot;salafis&quot;<br>They use catchy phrases to deceive the masses like &quot;we follow quran and sunnah according to the understanding of the salaf&quot; but at the same time they claim that this or that opinion of the IMAMS of the SALAf is against quran and sunnah.<br>It is just against your understanding. They are the salaf. If they dont understand then who does?<br>In reality you follow quran and sunnah according to your own or your sheykhs understanding and if it is in conflict with how the imams of the salaf understood it you dismiss the salaf and say they made a mistake or that is against this and that hadeeth as if they didnt know this hadeeth. These hadeeth came to us through them.<br>You deceive people by calling yourself salafis in fact you are just a new madhhab without usool al fiqh thats why every salafi scholar has a different opinion.<br>There were 4 recognised and standardised madhahib from the salaf themselves and u made a thousand out of them. <br>Fear Allah <br>May Allah s.w.t guide us all and protect us from their fitna

  How do shalafis learn islam from where if it is not from 4 schools , how they expect to get correct information from any other source ?

  I would disagree to shykh upto some extent. <br>1Alsalafiyah : any person following the rules of salafiyah needs to have excellent understanding of Quran , hadith and 3 fav. Generation before they can interpret the best ruling… if in a likely chance of common person who doesnot have it, would simply follow the shykh who has it , taqleed like a disciple in any other four madhahib. Wearing same specs as Imam mentioning worn by disciple of 4 madhahib

  Imam Malik was amongst the salaf, in Madinah, and grew up with some of saHaba’s children, and his methodology is « a3mâl ahl al madînah ». The sheikh says « if imam Ahmad (or Malik or chafi3i or Hanafi) says this and the qur’an and the sunnah goes against it, they put it aside »…. what? You think the four great imams were following the book of John also??? I’m sorry but What the shaykh said is ridiculous

  With all due respect &nbsp;respect my dear sheikh , you say, follow quran ad sunnah only, as if imam Shafi imam Abu hanifa imam Malik and imam Ahmad did not follow the quran and the sunnah<br>Were they on other than the quran and the sunnah. So any Dick Tom and Harry can go to quran and hadith and decide what is most authentic
