  Super Intelligence is going to break the myth that you have to be from IITs or IIMs to make any breakthrough in the UK. And these people who think they know everything about trading would terribly regret what they are thinking about themselves. University Pedigree does not matter in this age of AI. The big universities that she studied from know that very well. I am seeing huge layoffs in finance by early to mid next year.

  I graduated from bayes business school in London. Being a international student in UK, you are not allowed to do internship while studying because of 20 hour cap. And the winter breaks are less than a month generally Christmas time which makes it impossible to find internship that lasts for less than a month.

  The most important is prior work experience.  It is not like India where people just get a job after graduation. Yiu need to do various internships, placements etc even if you are a fresh graduate. It is extremely difficult to get sponsorship unless you do in oxbridge, imperial, lse etc for finance. Your CV should be as per ATS and you will need to do various applications and each application has multiple rounds. So need to be well prepared.

  If work experience from India is not counted, on other hand, unable to get selected in a graduate program after uncounted experience moreover can’t get into entry level roles after uncounted experience… because hiring manager can sense that the candidate won’t stay in the job for long, in the entry level roles … how to position oneself in such a situation? Thanks in advance.

  its depressing to see super IIT /IIM brains working on socially useless stuff like investment banking and trading which has made up artificial sophistication to make it look really complicated. In reality its just gambling off pension funds and public money and then asking for bail outs every now and then (again free access to taxpayers money). These people get paid high salaries to do things on an excel sheet (mostly) which absolutely does not require the level of complication that is induced. Imagine taking complex physics and maths equations and applying them to markets which is essentially random behaviour and then to justify it when some of it works some of the time. This industry has done immeasurable harm to the society.
