  I am doing something similar.  I pick up huge pieces of cardboard from Sam’s Club and I collage on therm.  I use my scraps in a similar fashion.  When cardboard is full of collage (looks like a quilt!) i get the back wet and peel the back layer of cardboard off and then I can roll up my collage and storage is easier.  I have a SHE SHED that I am considering wallpapering with my Cardboard collage work.   Sounds wild but I am having lots of fun doing it.  Maybe after I die I will be famous and they will come see my she shed walls🤣🤣🤣🤣

  Three weeks ago I traveled to my studio in Prince Edward Island where I will work until mid-October. In my zeal to get my hands on my stash of paints and my hoard of different papers, I created a nearly unworkable pile of painted and gelli printed papers. Then I started to feel the symptoms of ‘getting stuck’. This video gave me permission to toss out all of my ‘must do’ processes, at least for now, AND pare down that pile of papers. Best part? Most, if not all of the papers I’ve made in the past three weeks are on medical exam paper! I love the way the transparency varies depending on the,opacity of the paint I use. Excuse me now. I need to go cut up some paper! Thank you, Jackie!

  Congratulations on cutting up a “precious” paper! You haven’t lost it or destroyed it, you have transformed it into a form usable in your art.

  I suffer from chronic migraine disease and today I have one😢.  Art has become my escape.  Would you believe I cut up strips of paper the other day?  This was the perfect distraction, easy and not much thought.  Loving the end result, so thank you!!

  I did a gigantic one like this on a piece of poster paper I got at Dollar Tree. It was so meditative and zen. I wish we could post pics in YouTube comments so we could all share our art! Yours came out gorgeous!

  Your tip about putting matt medium over the pastel ground is sheer genius! I hate using fixative on my pastels so this is brilliant!

  Loved this video Jackie, as I do all of your videos - I have learnt so much from you.  I was a little confused until I found it in the transcript, as to why you put a pastel background down if you were going to cover it up but have realised that it was just in case.  I think I might just do the pastel background as an exercise, and leave it, it was really beautiful and thanks for the tip about the Matt medium for setting the pastels.  I hate the feel of them too!  I suffer from a rare headache condition (not migraines) and art has done so much for me - it is such a distraction and I have only recently been into collage, hence me being late to the post, but I’m absolutely loving it, it’s so freeing and the the whole process from creating the papers to sticking them down is just such a joyful process.  Anyway thank you again for all your videos 😊
