THIS is the MLK that needs to be shared more! That "I have a dream" speech is overly spotlighted. THIS right here needs to have more of a spotlight!

We should teach and read his words to our young. We need to use them to inspire them in order to change the road on which we currently find ourselves.

"true compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar, it comes to see that the edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring"

Thank you, Amy and all your colleagues at Democracy Now. The world lost so much when he was killed. Brilliant and charismatic. We have to press on, in spite of the grief we feel at how far we have seemingly regressed. May our determination be inspired by his demonstration of it.

My eyes swelled with tears at the words, "I am so happy that you didn't sneeze." For it exemplified an expression of genuine love and compassion for humanity.

A great man whose life, to soon, was unjustly extinguished, but not his words that will live on, as true today as hey were then, how sad that such men are martyred, by men who know not what they do, men who live by hatred and ignorance, lacking the moral fiber of goodness and justice, but they cannot kill the truth, or the spirit of Martin Luther King….Peace!

His speech is so powerful. My heart cries when I see after 57 years we saw same discrimination in 2022. Only Oppression change its name.

It amazes me how well he could dissect and honestly state what was wrong with our foriegn policy and domestic policy in such simple but very accurate terms. Happy birthday old man.
