  Closed my eyes and all I saw was my mother. She passed when I was 19, next month I turn 34.

  Had the honour of hearing this one live in concert this week and — like many in the audience — absolutely cried my eyes out. My mom is ill, and knowing this song will one day hold a very different meaning is both painful and somehow comforting. The way Tom sings it is just stunning, and this version is certainly another favourite. Thank you for this truly beautiful song ❤️

  Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of my son&apos;s death.<br><br>Every year is difficult, but this year feels different. The grief feels heavier somehow—almost as if I am reliving it all over again. Twenty years have passed, yet I still find myself missing him, missing the life he never got to live, and wondering who he would have become.<br><br>There are moments when the pain feels just as raw as it did in the beginning. I can&apos;t seem to stop crying, and part of me wishes this ache would finally fade. But grief doesn&apos;t follow timelines, and love doesn&apos;t disappear simply because time has passed.<br><br>Lately, this song has been one of the few things bringing me comfort. It has somehow found its way into the places in my heart that still hurt the most. For that, I am grateful.<br><br>Twenty years later, I still love him. I still miss him. And I always will.

  My grandma (she was like my mom) died last week and this was the song I dedicated to her now she’s gone. Thanks Tom.

  Every time I listen to this song, it breaks and heals something inside me all at once. It reminds me of my past life in Ukraine, before my hometown became a war zone. It&apos;s like I can still see my old self, and the old selves of my friends and family, a fragment of my mind that will forever live on. Thank you, Tom ❤
