Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge? Which Should You Choose?

  The trollies in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are made in a small town in WI with a population under 2,000. I am proud to say I am from that community where these well made trollies carry people all over the US.

  Both are great, expect to walk in gatlinburg, due to traffic

  I have to agree with many posters- both. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to see the first parade in the country for July 4th, stay in Gatlinburg. If you are in the mood for shows and the island, stay in Pigeon Forge.<br>This is the best vacation area &nbsp;for a family friendly, activity packed, fun filled experience.

  The answer is easy, both. I don’t look at them as separate places since they are only minutes apart. I play both places, but I always stay in Gatlinburg. It is much more of a “walking town” and parking is expensive, unless your car is safely left at your hotel. The attractions in Pigeon Forge have plenty of parking.

  Absolutely not even in the same league Gatlinburg VS Pigeon Forge, Pigeon Forge wins every time for Dollywood and hotels for under $$60.00US per night. I always stay on Parkwy, never ever had OR rented a car, absolutely not needed. You picked some of the absolute most expensive places to eat for both. What about Mel’s Dinner for fantastic Chile for under $$10.00 OR yummy meatloaf at apple darn?? Until know never heard of Mamas Farmhouse, must go next time. ONLY Christmas for me. Pigeon in my book gets 4 points and Gatlinburg gets 1 point. I am a budget traveler, always have, always will and dam proud of it. Absolutely Awesome From Start To Finish // Absolutely Loved Every Second

  In Pigeon Forge, you might not want to miss Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, which has a new seasonal menu and is bringing back some of the old favorites.

  I enjoyed the Titanic museum but it would have been better with more staff dressed in period attire and demonstrating the trending entertainment of the day.

  Stay somewhere between Cosby and Gatlinburg and visit both, unless you want to be surrounded by all of the hustle and bustle.
