  Redguard's financial failure might be partially due to the fact that it came out literally three weeks before Ocarina of Time, since it's trying to do a lot of the same things that game was doing (probably without even realizing it). Just... way, way worse.

  I wish they still made spin off games like this. A small scale linear action game set in a region of Tamriel could be cool.

  When I was a kid, I think this would have been mid to late 00s, I was a HUGE fan of Morrowind. I basic memorized that entire game. Every item location, every quest, every NPC, every bug, every feature, and every bug that should have been a feature. Main game and both major expansions. To this day I probably have more time in Morrowind than I have in every other game combined. I played Oblivion when it came out and it was fun for a bit, &nbsp;but I found it too restrictive after growing up on Morrowind and to this day its still my least favorite numbered TES game by a wide margin.<br>As insane as it sounds I finally hit a point where i had basically done everything I could think to do in Morrowind. So imagine my excitement when I talked to this random kid I didn&apos;t even know one day and he just gives me a double disk jewel case with a CD ROM in it for Daggerfall and another for Redguard.<br>I spent HOURS learning how to use a DOS box so I could play these games. I think I was in 10th grade so 2009-2010. We obviously had internet but it wasn&apos;t so easy to find people who knew about obscure, outdated things like DOS. Finally I got it working and boy my disappointment with Redguard AT FIRST. I wanted more Morrowind and Redguard definitely ain&apos;t that. I eventually tossed it aside and moved on to Daggerfall. Then by that summer I started getting popular with girls and I stopped playing games for a long time.<br>When I got out of the army and came home in 2016 I had no real possessions, no friends in town, no job, nothing to do. So I started pulling out all my old belongings and playing around with them and at some point I found this dumb game I tossed aside years earlier. Keep in mind at this point Skyrim has been out for years, and here I am playing Redguard. Damned if I didn&apos;t fall in love with that game. Maybe it was just a good time in my life. Maybe it&apos;s the antique charm but something about this game, its world and characters and story are just really endearing.

  Honestly based off the writings featuring Cyrus by MK the characterization of him in the game IS his personality, he really does just kind of adventure around based on his whims and once he decides to commit to a goal he will fight to the death for it, or cheat if necessary 😉

  I actually like the idea of a fantasy city having multiple dungeons underneath it.<br><br>I live in one of the oldest cities in Europe - Plovdiv, Bulgaria. You cant sink a shovel anywhere within city limits without hitting Ancient Roman ruins. And if we dug under those we will surely find even older ruins. There has been people living on this spot atleast 4000 years back. If not longer.<br><br>In a magical setting where lost civilizations used magic to make their stuff last, most megalopolises would have layers of forgotten dungeons underneath.
