I'm going to assume this trooper is a good guy. However, I once had a city policeman write a false report blaming me when the truck driver admitted it was his fault. I went to the station to request a correction and was refused. In the end, the false report cost me a little that insurance refused to cover. The worst part is the lingering distrust of all officers when I know most don't deserve that.

Many years ago when I was 16, I got in a very small fender bender that was my own stupid fault. A few weeks later I had to go to court for the ticket and the Judge asked me what my father had done about it. I told him he took my license away. The judge asked "Do you have it back?" Me: "No" Judge: "Do you know when you'll get it back?" Me: "No" ... Judge "Case dismissed!"

Stepdad thought he could get his stepson out of the ticket. Sounds like his cop-dad doesn’t know his job very well. Also, I call bullshit on the son having issues when speaking to authority given it sounded like he cussed the trooper out. Stepdad is enabling a spoiled brat.
