  I converted a Hanomag van in the early '70's, 4 banger diesel, dual rear wheels, looked like a larger version of a Sprinter van. It got 22 mpg and I had a 70 gallon fuel tank, and burned fuel oil, with no road tax, for 22 cents a gallon.

  When you said 10 years, I had to go back and see when I started watching. For some reason, I can only scroll back 5 years to when Drew explained the key fob entry for the shuttle. I am sure I was watching before that. I was thinking the other day that I miss you guys singing your intro!

  it's so weird i was at my campsite last weekend in my econoline and saw this other sweet econoline driving through the other loop....next thing you know i see this massive blue unimog following  behind it... couldnt believe it! sure enough i watched the video you guys posted later that day from the campground you were just at. kinda far out huh? safe travels you 2 and thanks for sharing

  Fuel is or should be an expected expense because it is overlanding, so expecting this cost to be high is not unreasonable. I am glad you admitted to the difficulties about highway driving. I believe all the larger or expedition class vehicles suffer from these drawbacks, which is why vans (4x4) or pickups remain the best choice, I believe for overlanding in North America. I remember your video where you guys encountered a friend whose mog was bogged down in a mud trap and it took two other big rigs to rescue him. For International use, or use where formal roads are less frequently used, your Unimog and other types are a great value.

  I have been watching you two since you were in the bus. I have loved watching every single video you have made. <br>I was thinking I might retire and enter this lifestyle. After all these years of watching all the work you have done I realized, I&apos;m just not into it. You both have incredible skills we will never have. <br>I still watch every video you guys make, but as my own personal fantasy. <br>Now I get into a safe, warm bed with my beautiful wife every night and feel better. &lt;until the pilot light on the dang furnace goes out....again&gt;
