I am turning 52 years of age this coming summer 2026 and really need to admit something to the universe. My heart bleeds a very slow and painfully agonizing drip of nostalgia. I miss the 1980s to mid 1990s really bad.

I am painfully homesick, absolutely desperate for a time period in my life that at the time was a dimension of existence I despised. Very ironic though, I had absolutely no concept whatsoever the same time period would eventually start to torment me to want to go back to really bad. All of this started around Y2K. Too much to explain. The universe changed for the worse in the late 90s, early y2k and I still can't pin point it.

There is no human language in existence capable of describing how badly I miss the time period this song and video were created in. If you read my words here, whoever and wherever you are, for real and from the heart, thank you and God bless you a million times for hearing me.

Sincerely, a tortured Gen X Soul

This was played at my wedding in 1987 Every man and his dog was up dancing! Sadly my lovely darling wife Teresa passed away in 2009. This will always remind me of what a great day that was. Forever missed, forever loved!

Who is listening to this masterpiece in 2026?
Edit: and in 2027, and in 2028, then 2029, soon at 2030, hopefully in 2031, and so on.

 July 2026 here.
This song could loop all day and I would vibe to it the entire time.
Turn it up & jam with no one around. 🔥

The whole song is phenomenal but the intro when the drums kick in is just something else. I still get chills 38 years later.
Sound of my youth
