  It’s crazy to me that only NOW have the children been visited by authorities. Non-white parents get their children taken away for trivial things yet when serious and apparently well-known abuse occurs at the hands of white parents it’s crickets

  Fun (not really) fact, family situations like this are often called &quot;family cults&quot;. Cults do not have to be religious in nature, some are political, family, self-improvement, etc.

  As someone who went through a similar situation, I was raised by extremely religious people and homeschooled because they wanted to keep me &quot;pure&quot;. There are not enough words to describe what this does to the human psyche. Isolation is genuine torture for a child. I didn&apos;t know I was out of the ordinary until I was 16 because I had spent so little time around other people.
