  In April of this year, we had what could’ve been a disaster. I was bathing and I went to adjust the hot water The handle broke off and water was shooting out everywhere and it got as high as the ceiling. My daughter ran to get my husband and he ran to the basement to shut off the water. I had no idea where that was located, so had he not been home we would’ve had major problems. You give good advice recommending that everyone know where to shut off the water in their home.

  Henry county, Georgia. House built 1997. Freeze from north pole bursted my water line. Costed my insurance 30k. I learned to cover my copper piping. I also changed some of that piping to the new plastic piping that can go down to -75 degrees fareheight.

Useful information: “Take care of your things properly, and when problems arise they’ll likely be smaller.” That was a good one.<br><br>I also have to admit I’ve been somewhat chronically riled up at the unconscious level and haven’t quite managed to fully figure out why or how to unrile myself. However, after many years of living in the South and its Southern gentility, and also watching your videos, I must say it has helped quite a bit. My guesstimate is that I’m now about 70% unriled.<br><br>Thanks again.

  Watching from Lancaster UK. 🇬🇧 My house was built in the 1930s. The plumbing pipes are all copper, all new pipe work through out the house when i bought it in 1999. I’m going to renovate my bathroom soon, all done by myself. I am female and I do all my house maintenance. Just finished re-bedding ridge and hip tiles on my slate roof. My gutters, fascia and soffit boards are being installed by me next week. I am going to film myself doing this project. In the uk most toilet waste exits through the rear of the toilet, straight through the wall to the soil pipe outside, this way you can spot any leaks. I am so glad we don’t have the wax seals in the floor for the toilet waste. I would hate to have to fix that……the mess penetrating the floor material, and the cleaning. Thank goodness I have You Tube and a tool kit. 😊 ❤

  Since we live in a building with other families on each side, water leakage problems reach the ceilings of neighbors who live below us. There are always reasons for quarrels. In our house, each pipe has a separate connection coming out of the concrete floor. The hot water pipes have their own line and the cold water pipes have their own line. And all the pipes are connected to one pipe that can disconnect all the pipes in the house, and there is a water meter that is connected to the municipal water department that can read remotely how much water our apartment uses each month. And there is also a circuit breaker there that disconnects all the water to the apartment, including the water that goes into the solar heater. In any case, we don&apos;t just use white glue to connect a pipe to a pipe. We first wrap the crimped end of the pipe with linen wool. These are really thin threads made of linen, and we wrap the paper with white glue on the linen thread. The linen initially stores the water and seals the end of the pipe better than just white paper. I think that today they no longer use linen wool to seal pipes. But in my opinion, with the wool, it is the best seal against leaks. The paper wears out quickly. In any case, you should not clean water or gas pipes with harsh substances. This can puncture the pipe and cause a gas leak or even an explosion in the house. Our toilets have been attached to the floor for 15 years. And they don&apos;t move. They are attached to the floor with special glue. No screws are needed.

  😊 THANK YOU MR. YODER, BACK HOME I CHANGED 2 TOILETS WITH MY MOM, IN A FEW DAYS, I WILL REPLACE THE TOILET HERE IN MY TRAILER &amp; SINCE YOU MENTIONED IT, THE SUPPLY LINES AS WELL. IM DOING THIS ONE ALONE &amp; IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO PUSH THE TOILET IN IT&apos;S BOX ACROSS MY LIVING ROOM,DOWN THE SHORT HALLWAY TO THE BATHROOM. I LIVE ALONE &amp; I DON&apos;T LIKE STRANGERS IN MY HOME. THE HARDWARE STORE LEFT IT ON THE STREET &amp; DROVE AWAY, I CALLED THEM BACK &amp; HAD IT PLACED ON MY PORCH. IM SLIDING IT ON A TARP TO THE BATHROOM. YAY !!! 😃👍 THANKS AGAIN FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.

  I just tried buying your ebook - not sure payment went through...will try again. I just trimmed my tomato plant and stripped off some of the main stem and wondering if there is a salve or anything that will help heal him. I just put out bucket to catch rain and will make your buttermilk, yeast, molasses for it!! Your great and I will definitely share your channel!! Thank you!
