  Butterbean is now 60 years old. I think even now, after all these years I would not  want to take a punch from him.. I bet he still hits hard. 🙂

  There is something about Butterbean. He has eye-hand coordination, or more acute eyesight, or better prediction of time and distance. It&apos;s not just reach and weight. If someone could analyze and define what Butterbean has, he would have the secret to boxing. You can&apos;t see what it is just by watching, but Butterbean has the math of boxing. If his nervous system were in a body with more stamina he would be the perfect boxer of all time.

  Bean had what is known as tensile muscle, tendon and ligament strength. He had incredible power in those hammer heads he called hands. The man was incredibly strong with the heart to match. Once he zeroed in and got you in the crosshairs, it was <br>O V E R. Crazy power in both hands, the heart of a lion, the drive and punch of a jackhammer.   That first match showed that Butterbean had an iron chin and an iron dome. He could shrug off punches that would daze or KO lesser men. It allowed him to get close, go headhunting and end the fight.
