  Australian here. Just want to say bull sharks are NOT TIMID. They are known to be one of the most aggressive species of shark here in Australia, along with the great white and tiger.

  overfishing is a major problem.  pollution.  We invade their home and wonder why.  I would think it's obvious.

  The sea is the sharks’ home. You enter at your own peril and if you don’t know what you’re doing then stay out. Like France, the over fishing is horrendous with commercial fishermen oblivious to maintaining high stocks. Very short sighted.

  It&apos;s perplexing to see someone say into a camera lens, with a straight face, that a fish farm doesn&apos;t attract bull sharks. To that idea, I say <i>bull-sh...!</i>

  Its obvious that the ocean surrounding Reunion is overfished to the maximum degree. &nbsp;The MPA was devoid of life in the transect minus 2 small groupers. There is no food left for the sharks and the few sharks left are becoming desperate to find prey. For an island that size there should be a massive population of sharks of many kinds. The signs point to commercial fishing wiping out every size of fish from the adults to the small fry. No reproduction can occur and the ecosystem is way out of whack. &nbsp;Now they want to cull the only thing left which is the few sharks. An empty ocean is a dead ocean. These people are hopeless until they stop taking everything in the food chain and let it heal. They need to ban ALL fishing for a minimum of a year &nbsp;or they have no hope.

  Had no one made the connection of the time of the attacks? Resident of a beach state here, you&apos;re not supposed to be in the water late afternoon, early evening. That&apos;s when sharks start hunting, sunrise and sunset. It also increases chances of reduced visibility and mistaken identity. Why was this not a known thing?

  When you deplete the fish the sharks feed on what do you expect? Animals adapt.

  The guy who was having a go at the local councillor for the shark attacks is a complete knob and he wasn&apos;t even a local...Double knob!!

  No food..no fish no seal or sealions etc........man has gone beyond decimateing the natural world and planet earth .

  I remember snorkeling by myself in the Bahamas and watching the reef fish. Suddenly they all disappeared and as I looked around, there was a 12 foot hammerhead shark doing a slow 180° swim around me. I held my breath so that no oxygen would disrupt his sensory and made eye eye contact, he eventually swam off into the distance and I quietly and carefully made it back to the shore. Since that time, I only do knee deep waiting along the shoreline. Humans are nothing but 10+ grams of protein and a easy meal.
