So many actors just starting out in this show. We see them over and over in later series and movies; nice to see where they came from.

I've forgotten how beautiful this movie is. i agree that violence and vengeance is not the only answer. this movie shows that even the hardest hearted men can redeem themselves but it's a decision that they alone have to make

Solomon Kane is honestly a powerful dark fantasy film. The story of a violent mercenary trying to save his soul is emotional and intense. James Purefoy brings so much depth to the character, and the world building is rich and atmospheric. The action is gritty, the message about redemption is strong, and the journey feels meaningful from start to finish. Five stars from me.

A gritty, atmospheric, and emotionally driven fantasy adventure with a standout performance from James Purefoy.

The movie stands out with its brooding atmosphere, deep emotional weight, and brutal, well-crafted action scenes. Every fight is personal, every choice is heavy, and every moment pushes Solomon closer to facing his past sins. The story blends adventure, horror, and redemption in a way that feels both epic and personal.

The world-building is rich, the visuals are rugged and beautiful, and the emotional journey is powerful enough to hold you from start to finish. If you love heroes who rise from the shadows, battles filled with purpose, and a story with real soul, Solomon Kane delivers completely.

This is not Van Helsing 2. No vampires either. This movie is called Solomon Kane (2009) and it's a really good movie.

I watched this movie years ago, but because I happened to stumble on this and it’s one of my favourite actors James Purefoy, I’ve watched it all over again, every minute of it 🥰
