I was 12 when ESB came out. Target audience. Didn’t care what critics thought. In fact I don’t think I was aware there were movie critics in those days.

Yep, I was one of the ones who read the book before the movie. I also had the luxury of owning the soundtrack as I read it. Quite thrilling and I still enjoyed every minute of the movie!

The breathtaking matte paintings is what made Empire SB so visually compelling. We will never see this kinda charm or talent from brush to film ever again. G- damn you photoshop. And it's inventors. Forever.

You're off by one of who knew Vader was Luke's father. The actor that voiced Darth Vader, James Earl Jones, knew too having to deliver the line.  So four people of the crew and cast knew.
