  As a public-school teacher, I begin saving 8 months before the school year ends. I start saving at the beginning of October: buy essentials only and pay monthly expenses. Save the rest. When the end of the school year arrives, I am well prepared for the summer. Therefore, I never work during the summer. As a single woman, I can relax. I have implemented this strategy for six years. It works!

  God is so good, I grew up in a household where the mortgage was always behind &nbsp;the govt funded it, my parents had not paid for 18 months. It was stressful as a teenager to know that we will be homeless. I never wanted a mortgage because of that and I prayed to the Lord whether He can help me buy my house for cash. He did after 10 years, He prospered me and I managed to buy a discounted house at an auction. All things are possible with God on your side.

  Joseph sold the grain, he did not give it away. In chapter 47, after the people had no more money, &nbsp;they traded their livestock for food. When they ran out of animals, &nbsp;they traded their land and sold themselves for food. Joseph presided over the greatest wealth transfer in human history.

  At age 58, I had very little saved for retirement. No pension, no 401k. I paid everything off, then diverted half my paycheck into savings. Lived off the other half. Social Security says they will pay me half my income when I retire in 10 months at age 62. I can retire at 62 because I saved over 50 percent of my income for 4 years.
