  I think I know why the developers put a star on Raphael the Raven.<br><br>Raphael the Raven&apos;s death animation is him turning into a constellation star in the sky. You see the star in the middle of the constellation. They probably put the star on him to make it visible when he died, but made sure it was invisible when he was alive by making it the same color as his body.

  If you&apos;re playing a Japanese copy on a us SNES, the cart might be thinking its a pirate copy, which is why it&apos;s erasing itself.<br><br>Earthbound does something similar.

  You can tell this was Miyamotos passion project. There is so much love and care put into this game that I haven’t seen since in any Mario game. The backgrounds are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen in any game.
