  Crap like this doesn&apos;t teach students to understand math, it just teaches them to hate it, teachers refuse to make it clear or make it make sense.

  I once had a teacher argue that &quot;melatonin&quot; is what makes your skin the color it is. When I corrected her that melatonin makes you sleepy and that she was referring to melanin, she doubled down and scolded me in front of the entire class. She really couldn&apos;t handle being politely corrected by her middle school student
