I have watched your tutorials on how to sew these several times and each time I learn something new and come away with a better understanding. I know it probably feels like you have shown this often enough but speaking for myself, I like watching the process again because I need it to help it stick in my brain and there’s always something new that comes up.

As you were making lines and pinning I was thinking that precision has its place in all stitching. I measure when needed, I press with my iron a lot and I pin and baste. I think it comes from my garment sewing days. But I really enjoy free form stitching as well. I'd like to think that I'm good at going with the flow too. There is a quote that is attributed to Picasso and it says, learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist. <br> I think that applies to technique as well.

Freedom Friday is such a perfect name for these! Kudos to the person who gave you the idea. I have now, thanks to you, made a number of rice bags, and I like the idea of trying this one with the turned edges and whip stitch. Nice reminder video, nice new idea, nice nice nice. :-) Thanks!

I'm making my first rice bag, based on your previous video. Ive mired myself down in the fancy stiching of the outside. But soon I'll be onto the inside. Thanks for the new ideas❤
