  I've had cats with all these coat colors over the years. By and large, I have noticed personality individual differences vary with the cat, not the color.

  My cat is a female Tortie. I have CPTSD and was suprised when in the middle of a nightmare, she got up on my chest and gently put her paw on my face several times and woke me up. When I woke up she started meowing at me to distract me further like she was asking if I was okay. What gift she is. She came to me at 5 weeks old being found in a field, no mother and 1 deceased sibling. The little girls who found her came into my daughters work place not knowing what to do with it. My daughter bathed her in the bathroom sink and brought her home. I fell in love with her and we are bonded now for several years. I can also call her from anywhere in the house and she will run to wherever I am. I am so fortunate to have her in my life.

  The neighbors had an adult orange male. He came by to visit often enough that I put down a food dish and water for his comfort. He would just come by to hang out. I frequently just had the screen door only in front when the weather was nice.<br><br>Then they brought home two bouncy springer spaniel puppies. Oh boy. It took their orange cat less than 48 hours to decide to move in with me. He “applied” to become a permanent resident by bringing me a live baby bunny that he caught to prove his worthiness.<br><br>I let the bunny go and the cat stayed. The neighbors later admitted that they had done him a disservice by bringing in rowdy puppies. The cat lived out the rest of his life with me.

  I’ve never really liked cats. I realised I had allergies to them when I was about 11 and then just never went near them really, I became terrified of them… but this guy who is my upstairs neighbour bought a little black kitten and I’d ask to see her whenever I’d see him, one of the days he said she had woke him up that night by biting his lip, but not to worry, he’d “gave her a little rag around by her tail”… I didn’t know if he was being serious or not, but then I saw another neighbour the next day who came up to me and said “bro have you seen the cat?!” Apparently, one of her eyes was half closed and she was limping, and couldn’t move much. I was so sad, the next time I saw him I begged him for her, I offered to buy her and he let me. The next day I went out and bought everything for her. I saw him a few days later and he asked me if she’d chewed any of my stuff or bit me yet and I told him no, she had been lovely, and just played with her toys. He said “I maybe shouldn’t have been such a tight arse and just spent 20 quid on getting her some toys and it might have saved my wires”… poor thing didn’t have a single toy or anything for a month, and he was feeding her his leftover food. <br><br>Well I just had little bees second vet visit today, she’s had both her vaccines now and been microchipped and is a lovely healthy spoiled little kitty. I would have never have thought out of every animal, I’d end up with a cat, but I love her and we’ve both really helped each other 🥰🐈‍⬛

  Since my husband passed away last year, my days have been so incredibly lonely and quiet. His 12-year-old orange tabby, Barnaby, has always been a little goofy, but lately, he has become my absolute shadow. He follows me from room to room, sitting right on my chest the second I lie down. Hearing that his orange coat genetics actually make him crave &apos;constant contact&apos; and form strong, &apos;clingy bonds&apos; with his human... it just makes me weep with gratitude. He knows I am hurting, and his impulsive need to be literally on top of me is the only thing holding my broken heart together.

  There is no wrong cat color. Only a real connection. They&apos;re all angels and we aren&apos;t worthy.

  Black cats are least likely to be adopted and most likely to end up in shelters; I always choose the black cat, if I’m choosing vs the cat distribution system

  Had a calico we got that was found abandoned by a friend. We took her in. She bonded with me on the 30 minute ride home. She was a daddy&apos;s girl. Spent most of her time on me or near me. If i laid down she would jump right in and spoon with head resting on ny arm. Never stopped purring. She passed away 2 christmases ago. She had been sick for a while, she spent time cuddling with my wife and daughters before they went to bed. I was sitting downstairs in the recliner. She sat with me for a while and got her cuddles, then got up and went to lay down on the other side of the christmas tree where i couldn&apos;t see her. I heard her take her last breath peacefully under the tree. Broke my heart completely.
