Did SEGA Do Jurassic Park BETTER?

I worked on both Jurassic Park games. For the first one, Spielberg told us we weren't allowed to kill dinosaurs. For the sequel, we got half the time and team, but we were told we could kill dinosaurs. The games were developed in San Diego at BlueSky's offices in University City. Dr. Grant was mocapped off of one of our artists. The dinosaurs were modeled off of a couple of Stan Winston's original models that Universal let us borrow.

The Lost World game, with its top-down isometric and weird first-person segments, feels more like a sequel to the snes Jurassic Park game

My first console was Sega Genesis. I got it Christmas of 93 when I was 6. The three games I got with it were Sonic 2, Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure and Jurassic park. I can practically beat this game blindfolded at this point. It was my dad's favorite game (RIP).

The Lost World game has really impressive graphics for a console made in 1988.

Jurassic Park was the first game I got with my Genesis for Christmas. I never got very far but I couldn’t believe how “real” the dinosaurs looked

The visitors center theme is so good. I’d just sit there and have it play.

The original Jurassic Park for super Nintendo was so damn hard, my mother and I took a couple years to beat it. We drew out maps on paper and wrote out how to get through the underground tunnel and everything.

2:25 T. Rex eating that guy off the toilet is one of my all time favorite moviegoing memories. When it happened, the entire theater just erupted in cheers. For once, everybody actually clapped!

Interestingly, the 2nd SNES game switched to an action platformer like the Genesis games while the 3rd Genesis game switched to a top-down view with some psuedo-3D sections, just like the 1st SNES game.

There's prototype builds of Jurassic Park Rampage Edition out there and they were actually way more violent. Explosives would blow dinosaurs and people to bits. Like for example, throwing a grenade at a triceratops would cause it to dismember, body parts flying everywhere! Unfortunately, the first two earliest builds are unplayable and seem to be corrupted. All the later builds work however and shows they made quite a lot of progress in such a short amount of time.
