In most modern cars the A/C system is used in the winter time in conjunction with the defroster. During cold weather the warm humid air inside the car can condense on inside of the windshield because the glass is cold on the outside.  This will fog up the windshield and reduce visibility. When the defroster is turned on the A/C system starts and the outside air is dehumidified as it passes through the evaporator. It then passes through the heater core to warm up the cold dry air. The warm, dry air is then discharged onto the inside of the windshield by the defroster vents. This dries the inside surface of the glass to eliminate the fog and restore visibility.

This is a gold standard if you want to let people understand not so easy concepts. 3d is so importent but this is more than just 3d. It's planned so good so you don't feel lost on any step ❤❤❤

I never would have guessed this would I be so complicated. It’s more complex than various other aspects of how cars work.

What an excellent video! Although I did know increasing pressure in a system elevates the boiling point of the system's fluid, I'd never realized what the compressor (besides pumping) and the expansion valve are for until I watched this. But now, I believe I have to solve the fact of the coolant entering the evaporator as a gas, when I used to have in mind it entered as a liquid.
