  I've heard another telling about the race.  The part with cat and rat is different.  Cat and Rat had agreed to help each get across the river with Ox's help. Cat and Rat had agreed to get up early so they could be amongst the first to get across.  The only problem was Rat got up earlier than agreed upon and left Cat sleeping through the race. Needless to say that Cat was not happy about the betrayal.

  You prolly won’t see this Jon but I get really bad night terrors and sleep paralysis from a abusive relationship and have a very hard time falling and staying asleep but I started watching you videos prolly like a month ago and i haven’t has sleep paralysis or night terrors. Your voice is soo soothing. And you’re very respectful in everything you do. I love watching you videos❤

  Interesting. As far as I know the story (possibly different version) the Rat did not pushed the Cat into the river. The version I know is the Cat asked the rat to wake him up in the morning to the race, but the sneaky Rat did not, so Cat got eliminated by default, that&apos;s why cats hate rats. Tho, I heard as some version of the Zodiacks replaces the Rabbit with Cat.... However take it with a grain of salt this info, I could not find trustworthy offical source for this

  Fruits Basket ( the manga) is where I got interested in the Chinese Zodiac. And I believe it&apos;s Vietnam that has the year of the Cat instead of another animal. (can&apos;t remember which tho)<br>Metal Goat (sheep) and I&apos;ve been told that the year of the snake is gonna be the worst year for me. I&apos;m bracing for all the bad luck to hit me and suck me into that river that they all had to swim across. Ngl, I was happy to hear that the goat wasn&apos;t deceitful and made a pact to lazily make its way across the river.

  As an enormous nerd, I grew up reading Fruits Basket, and so, I know the basics, and adore the Chinese zodiac. (Year of the Horse.) I&apos;m pretty excited to see this series! Also, yes, I will remember that Jon shot first. XD
