The free service was actually supposed to be for some months after it was launched last year, but at the expiration of the initial free period, the president extended the free services indefinitely.

Quick clarification: the VIP status isn’t based on being a tourist or foreigner. It’s simply granted to anyone who pays for the VIP wristband. Nigerians also enjoy VIP access at the park once they pay the VIP fee.

I understand your concern about not being able to use foreign cards. The issue is that many businesses have experienced chargebacks from foreign card transactions. Last January, there were numerous complaints from business owners about customers paying with foreign cards, returning to their home countries, and then disputing the charges by reporting them as scams to their banks.
