Java backend dev here, your content and your interviews are gold mines. Ai changes our practices so much that probably some earlier career paths and advice may be obsolete, but your channel should 100% explode

Adam interviewed me a looong time ago. I wasn’t interested in working at Fb, at the time, but after talking to him I was! This is the quality of an engineer Adam is!

I remember Adam gave a talk at Yet another Conference by Yandex and since then his name just stuck with me. Was happy to discover this video years later covering some of the behind the scenes from those times. Appreciate it

Ryan you’re giving out real value. Just a matter of time when people find your content. And you’re gonna hit million+ sub so fast I can’t wait to see it

Tom hanks is a Distinguished Engineer at Meta?

This is why it’s important to join the right company at the right time. In another company, you could be 13 years in, or even reach “distinguished engineer”, and nobody would care about your experience

You’re doing a great job with these interviews, especially when it comes to picking your guests. Adam really stood out with the way he spoke. He answered your questions so clearly and thoughtfully. It felt like he always had a single, focused train of thought, which made the conversation really easy to follow.

Great interview. Also feels like a time capsule - even only two months later, AI has changed so much about how we work at Meta

i love your questions on depth vs breadth, and how to do IC9 or bust, it's too bad he never actually fully answered the question! Win some, lose some.

Really enjoyed Adam sharing his mentality. Sometimes we can get in the pitfall of just submitting a ticket when there's a bug or FR, but if the code is available to view, you can now just use Opus 4.6 or whatever the best service might be in the future to take a stab at it yourself, then learn from what your copilot gave you. <br><br>Thanks for offering us this series, Ryan! You really shine at letting the guest reveal their tendencies that lead to success.
